This scarce, if not rare Shearwater Pottery pitcher stands 6.75" high by 5.5" across the handle by 4.75" in diameter. It has a double-handle spouted form, a design by Peter Anderson. Best of all, it is glazed in a wonderful blushed and drippy brown and green glaze combination, and it lays on this pot beautifully. It is well marked on the base, a mark from the 1940s into the 1950s. This vessel is in original studio condition, with a small clay seam under the lower ring of the handle, clearly studio in origin, and does not affect the presentation or integrity of this vessel in the least. It makes a wonderfully handsome presentation!
