This Minton China Works tile measures 1/2" thick by 6" square.  It has a blue transfer type image on its face with the Old Hancock House, and the inscription: "Old Hancock House", Beacon Street, Boston, Erected 1737, Demolished 1863'.  It is very well marked by Minton on the backside, along with a blue ink script that says "PUBLISHED BY MACULLER PARKER & COMPANY".  This is one of two tiles (the other was the Boston 'State House') produced by Minton for Maculler Parker a large clothing manufacturer in Boston in 1895.  This tile has a shallow surface edge chip, shown in the photos, and a couple of nicks on the backside.  It has some brown smooth residue, perhaps old glue, but does not appear to have been installed.
