This lovely mid-century modern Kneeling Nude was the design of Frances Moody for the Hyalyn Co., which she owned with her husband Leslie. Both were professional ceramic designers with extensive experience. This Nude stands a tall 13" high by 4" across by 5" in length. Her modeling is exquisite. Frances designed Nudes for the Abingdon Pottery in the 1930s-40s and continued her designs of Nude sculptures at Hyalyn. This Nude is glazed in a soft green mat glaze. She is marked H-106, her shape number on the base and is guaranteed to be an original Hyalyn Nude from the early 1950s. She is in original condition, well-loved and cared for through the years, no apologies.
