This pair of Stickley oak frames measure 20.5" high by 17.5" wide, with an opening that measures 17" by 13.5". These are custom frames, likely a special order that was not a standard catalog item. This set was purchased as part of an estate from an old summer retreat in Connecticut.  One bears the mark shown in the photos, the other identical frame appears unmarked.  Each frame houses an original gouache painting by Henri Cassiers (1858-1944) a Belgian painter, draughtsman and illustrator.  The works date to The Netherlands in the period from around 1895 to 1910, and are likely the original artwork for these frames, and they will be included in the sale to the buyer. The original wood backs remain with the frames. One back board has spots of warping as can be seen in the photos. The frontal aspects of the frames present quite handsomely with a rich original patina. They are very well constructed and they display the artwork beautifully. Shipping costs will be calculated based upon your zip code.
