This Grueby tile measures 1/2" thick, by 6" wide by 6" long. It has a classic square form, likely a table or floor tile. It is glazed in a wonderfully feathered mat green glaze, very even, as shown in the photos, finished in a satin mat.This simple tile is unmarked, but guaranteed to be vintage Grueby, c1902-1905 period, as we had several of these marked. This lone tile was the only one without the impressed Grueby, Boston mark in the bunch. It is in original factory condition, with just minor handling wear, along with some residue from a previous installation. It would serve well as a framed tile, desk paperweight, or simply as a base for a mat green pot.
