This set of Fulper Pottery 'Fireplace with Ashtray' bookends stand 7.5" high by 5.5" across by 5" wide. They have a large cobblestone form with a coat of arms at its center, and an opening in the hearth, which serves as an ashtray. They are glazed in a signature Fulper green and charcoal glaze finished in a semi-matte/gloss. This set of bookends is doubly-marked with a Fulper squared racetrack ink stamp on the bases, dating these to 1909-1917. This set of bookends was well used.  They are in excellent condition, with a good restoration to some base edge underside chips, and a couple of chips on the body corners.  They make a very handsome presentation!
