This Fulper urn/vase stands 7" high by 7" in diameter at the rim, 3.5" at the base. It has a full-bodied flared and pedestaled form, with handles at the midline. It has a widely flared rim, with deep vertical lines from midline to rim. It is glazed in a handsome deep Cat's Eye flambe glaze, with a blue drip over a carmelized tawny glaze combination, with rich amber undertones. This vessel is marked with an impressed Fulper block mark, dating it to c1929-1934, along with its shape number 4018. It is in original factory condition, with the usual glaze nuances, common to Fulper pots of the period and some generalized crazing on the lower interior from use. This handsome urn/vase, with a killer glaze, makes a great Arts & Crafts presentation!
