This Fulper Pottery bud vase stands 5.5" high by 3.5" in diameter at the hip. It has a classic bulb-like form, with a long neckline. It is one the 'Fulper 15', that is, one of the first fifteen Fulper vase forms made by the company. It began as shape number 4, which was produced through to 1914, then in gift boxes from 1914-1917, thereafter the shape number was changed to number 018, and this form was produced until 1923. It's anyone's guess of the date, but clearly 1917-1923 given its mark on the base. This bud vase is glazed in a Famille Rose variation, with an oyster/mocha drip at the rim. It is marked with the racetrack oval ink stamp as noted above, and some pencil notations by a collector along the way. It is in original condition, with a couple of minute glaze splinters at the base edge from factory grinding. This is a very handsome pot.
