This gorgeous Arts & Crafts style pyrography frame measures 12" high by 10" across by 3" wide (with the stand flush against the back of the frame). The photo opening is 5.5" high by 3.5" wide. It was likely produced by the Flemish Art Company in New York, with the original metal stand marked 'Pat. May 19, 1908'. It is an especially beautiful early Flemish frame, with a deeply carved tulips motif over three wood panels that are joined together. The original patina is a beautiful deep and rich brown, with hand-stained polychrome colors, which have acquired a lush patina with age. This frame is in original condition, including the glass, the photo backing pad, and the metal hinge tabs which hold the front and back together. This large frame does not bear the Flemish Art mark, but it is certainly in Flemish Art style. It is in original condition, no apologies. This vintage photo frame makes a stunning presentation, and is the finest frame in Flemish style that we've ever seen. You will LOVE this frame!
