This lovely pyrography fixed folding bookrack measures 5.5" high by 7.25" across by 5.25" wide.  It was produced by the Flemish Art Company in New York at the turn of the last century.  It is a nice early Flemish bookrack, with a gorgeous deeply carved Poinsettias motif.  There are finely carved accent details on both end caps, including the date 1909 on the inner aspect of one side. There is a very nice vine design along one long side of the rack as shown in the photos. The original patina is a deep beautiful brown.  It has a working brass hinges for the end caps.  This bookrack does bear the Flemish Art mark, shape number 617.  It is in original condition, with just minor handling marks.  This vintage bookrack makes a very rich Arts & Crafts presentation.
