This very handsome Burley Winter jardiniere and pedestal from Crooksville, Ohio stands a respectable 25.5" high overall. The jardiniere measures 9.5" high by 13" in diameter. The pedestal stands 16.5" high by 9.5" at the base and 8" in diameter at the rim. It has a classic full-bodied jardiniere form with a simple patterned design at the shoulders, on a simple pedestal base, a nice Arts & Crafts presentation. It is noted in the Burley Winter reference book by Swingle & Stoin on page 19. The Burley Winter Pottery was in operation from around 1912 until 1932, according to the references. This set is glazed in a signature Burley mottled green and orange glaze. It is essentially unmarked, but guaranteed to be vintage Burley Winter Crooksville, Ohio. This impressively large set is in near original factory condition, with just two no harm base edge (underside) chips, which are well shown in our photos. There is a factory glaze skip on the jardiniere, which is well shown in the photos, along with the usual glaze nuances. This jardiniere and pedestal set makes a natural and wholesome presentation.
