He studied at the Cleveland School of Art and he was a student of Arthur Baggs during the early 1930s. He managed his pottery from the early 1940s until very late in his life. He died in 1990.

This Roseville Tourmaline vase stands 8" high by 5.5" in diameter. It has a very handsome full-bodied form, corseted with a series of vertical ribbing, on a narrower platform base. This vase is glazed in stormy blues, accented with a blend of creamy white and an amberish, yellow gold, which drips randomly from the rim.
This Mock Orange vase measures 8" high by 6" long by 4" deep. It has a wonderful suspended pillow form, a very elegant design! It is adorned with sweet Mock Orange blossoms, which hug the 'v' tip of the suspended portion of the vase, as if covering an archway. The leaves serve to suspend the vessel, very clever ornamentation.

This Peters & Reed Moss Aztec wall pocket stands 9" high by 6.25" across by 4" wide. It has a beautiful pocket/pouch form and it is embossed with a centralized medallion, which depicts a woman in drapes, wrapped unto herself, a very sensual presentation. She looks as if she has wings.
This Roseville Snowberry basket stands 8" high by 8" across by 4" deep. It has a wonderful pillow form, with a sloping rim and an arcing handle. This vase is adorned with Snowberry blossoms, which grace the rim and cascade over the front and back of the basket.

This Weller Burntwood bowl measures 2" high by 3.5" in diameter. This bowl has a classic form and it is carved with Mice, one following the other around the periphery of the bowl. It is glazed in Weller's signature tan and brown Burntwood glaze, finished to a matte glaze.
This Roseville Ferella bud vase stands 4.25" high by 5.5" in diameter. It has a gorgeous shapely form with jutting elbow handles at its sides. This vase is adorned with beautiful reticulated shell-like designs, which circle the rim and base. This line was named in honor of Frank Ferrell, Roseville's Art Director, and the designer of many of Roseville's most popular designs.
This set of vintage bookends measures 5.75" high by 4" across by 4" wide. They depict a singing clown playing a mandolin, whose hands and head are made of a celluloid substance, like ivorine. These bookends a made of spelter, a mixture of base metals, which was a common composition in the 1920s.

This 6" Mosaic tile is entitled "LITTLE BO PEEP". It has a beautiful illustration. This tile is marked Mosaic on the back and it bears Walter Crane's cipher in the lower right corner. This tile originates from Walter Crane's (1845-1915) Aesops Fables illustrations. Walter Crane was an English painter, designer, and illustrator; known for his illustrations of children's books.
This hard-to-find Stangl bird group stands 9" high by 8.5" long by 5" wide. It is glazed in gorgeous rich and vibrant red, white and black, with green leaves. This group is one of the more elusive sets to find. It depicts two White Wing Crossbills, which are beautiful!
This RARE pair of GORT Porcelain Bird of Paradise stands 9.5" high by 7" long by 3.75" wide. They are a matched set, a left and a right, numbered 64B and 65B. The design on this set was executed by Jacob, the same designer for Stangl's birds. The colors are glorious in tones of vibrant blue. The details on these birds is exceptional, every tail feather beautifully and finely carved.
