Louis-Etienne Desmant, a French ceramicist, was born at Choisy le Roi in 1844 and died in 1902. He worked in the towns of Subles, Calvados, and Montières in Normandy, France.

This rare Weller Coppertone fountain Frog stands a tall 8" high by 11.25" long by 9.5" wide, he's HUGE! He has a classic pond frog figural form, resting on a lily pad. This frog is fabulously glazed in Weller's signature Coppertone glaze, which has a myriad of green tones interlaced with deep coppery highlights throughout, and a yellow yoke, a great combination of glazes!
This Bjorn Wiinblad plate measures 1.25" high by 12" in diameter. According to references online, Bjorn Wiinblad was a Danish artist who worked in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles, and graphics. Probably his most sought after work is that from his time at Nymolle, a Danish pottery, where he began working in 1946.
